Meet Simon

My family has lived in Jersey Village for 18 years. When we moved here, it was an easy choice - The City has a real "neighborhood" feel. Older homes, bigger lots, and plenty of trees. We frequently see neighbors walking their dogs, playing at the parks, or riding through the neighborhood.  There is a true sense of community.

I have always been interested in our City, having served on the TIRZ 2 Board and Charter Review Committee, and having previously run for Council.  Jersey Village has so much to offer, and I would be privileged to represent residents and work with Council Members in planning for the City's future.

Since moving to Houston in 1990, I have maintained a law practice, primarily focused on representing individuals and companies in corporate transactions and business litigation.  On a daily basis, I provide guidance, counsel, and legal advice, helping my clients solve their problems.

Anita and I have been together for 28 years.  We have three children, eight grandchildren (three JVHS grads), and one great-granddaughter, who all live close by.  After retiring from a large privately held oil company, Anita now volunteers with Child Advocates and Interfaith Ministries. In our spare time., we enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, sailing, and dining out.  Our family also includes Luna (a labrador mix) and Nigel (a strong-minded beagle who sometimes escapes the yard, allowing impromptu meetings with neighbors who are kind enough to help corral him).

I am earnestly committed to representing our entire community.   By listening to residents and understanding their priorities and concerns, then collaborating with Council Members and Staff to develop the best path forward, I believe we can continue to improve Jersey Village!
